Calzaghe's wish may come true
Boxing: Roy Jones Jr, a former world champion at four weights, has said he is willing to go to Wales to face Joe Calzaghe.
Jones has long been a target of Calzaghe, but after adding the IBF title to his WBO super-middleweight title by beating Jeff Lacy last week, it is the Welshman who is in demand from boxing’s biggest names. Calzaghe is due to box at the Millennium Stadium, Cardiff, on July 8.
Bradley Pryce, a stablemate of Calzaghe’s from Newbridge, won the Commonwealth light-middleweight title in Newport, beating Ossie Duran, of Ghana, by a unanimous points decision.
